Gentlemen,

I'm amazed at how far this league has come in this season alone. We have gone from typical "Caution-Fests" to professional-level racing and everyone in the league has had a part in that. My hat is off to all the drivers who've struggled, who've attended Sim-School and have turned their driving around to become competitive week in and week out.

I know that many drivers outside our league are beginning to take notice of our success and I wouldn't be surprised if ...

Sim school will be a part of the development of bringing this mod into BCR.

I d like to see you guys get better at road courses , ASR isnt the best way to learn unfortunately. This mod ERM , honestly in my opinion is one of the top 5 mods ever made for rfactor. The feel of the cars is amazing.

I firmly believe BCR is "The" place to race because of the hard, hard work put in by all involved. I count myself lucky to be your friend and to race here. Especially to Mike Debrowney and Lance Ripka for the sacrifices they've made to give us this incredible place to race.

I think I would like this track if I could get the brakes working right, as it is now I'm getting pretty aggravated....lol.

Due to this incident the 86 was given the "lucky dog" instead of myself. Was this correct or was it a program issue in the game. I only ask because that incident is what brought out the caution and are you eligable for a "lucky dog" if you are involved in the caution? This is a question that I never cared about or ...

After last night's sim-school, I began to spend alot of time thinking about self-spins. I know two things...no driver wants to self-spin...and the league punishes that very harshly for a reason. Self-spin's bring out cautions which can slow a whole race.

I'm thinking that there are a couple of things we should consider to help drivers struggling with loose race cars. First to explain what causes that dreaded loose condition.

When a car enters into a corner too fast...or throttles ...

I have a question about wheel settings. I can't seem to find any settings that makes me feel stable and in control. When ARCA first came out I had settings where I felt in control. Now I feel like my car is a boat in water. If I turn slightly my car slowly swerves in that direction and I have to correct it. I spend half of my time down the strait fixing this issue. Is it my wheel settings? My setup? A combination of both? Bad driving? Or physics change?

I can't get this corrected ...

Gentlemen,

Although it's against everything within a racecar driver to slow down for anything...it's time we address a serious issue in our league. That is...slowing down when there is trouble ahead or an obvious caution coming out. Before I address that issue, however, I want to commend every driver and every team for the progress we've made in the last few weeks...getting self-spins under control and having much better racing.

Reydon and i have been discussing how to get drivers here at BCR to sharpen their pit road skills.

The one thing we agreed on was get driver s during practice sessions to obey the pit road speed limit at all time s , this would help drivers to become more skilled at handling their cars at low speed.

Also this adds to the realism of the ARCA sim , as real drivers don't do 160 MPH down pit road

So we are asking from now on that all driver s obey the pit road speed limit at all ...

Having a good set up is great but the wheel setup is just as important. Some already know but for me as a rookie, I'm learning alot by shock. Two ways of learning, Shock and Repetition. Here is the link for those that would like to try it out. If you all have different wheels, share your setups so others can try and better the league. I will ...

I just got finished with my Pitstop and was rolling down Pitlane to enter the track and the yellow flag came out. Am I to fall in behind the Pacecar right away or go by like the trail cars on the track. I have a video to show what happened. I think I should have gone on by because I ended up w/ a Stop/Go later when we started again. Any help with the right answer would be great. Thanks

Dale Earnhardt, Richard Petty, Jeff Gordon, Jimmy Johnson...whoever...did not become great over-night. Dreaming of coming into a league like BCR your first year and "blowing away" the competition is an unrealistic goal and will put too much pressure upon yourself to be successful. It will also cause you to drive way over your head, resulting in a lot of accidents, unintelligent moves on the race-track, and worse...will give you a reputation as a poor driver among the other competitors.

For all the drivers that are eager to participate in this I would like to know what your schedules are like that would be most suitable for you all so we can have a proper structered schedule. ...

In my opinion, a great racing league like BCR...NEVER happens by accident. There is alot of hard work, endless hours and frustration by the the CEO and by the Administrators in this league. They have earned our respect in that area.

From the top level, a great league is made by fairness to all drivers, good rules and enforcement of those rules...AND...good drivers.

Being a good driver in this league, (again, my opinion), involves a great deal more than being fast or winning races. ...

On the simpliest level, racing is about passing the cars in front of you, or being fast enough to keep all the other cars behind you. Idealistically, you are a good enough driver to pass all the cars in front of you (assuming you have a perfect setup...which doesn't exist), and that you're able to do it cleanly and smoothly.

Sadly, in all forms of racing...passing is the toughest part of the sport and takes the most work. It is also where a great number of accidents occur and where tempers ...

A couple of other things that come to mind regarding SS racing...especially "sim" racing:

1. BEWARE OF THE CHAIN EFFECT: It would be nice if we could all stay flat-footed on the gas as we go around the speedway. However, it's not possible in sim-racing, nor in real life. The reason for this is simple physics...and reaction time.

As cars line up they also "bunch up." This is caused by drivers having differing setups as well as simple mistakes made by drivers ahead. ...

(Note: To experienced drivers, the following information is well known. To younger or new drivers, the information is vital).

Super Speedway racing is unique to all other forms of racing for several reasons. First, it is "white-nuckle" high-speed...door to door and bumper to bumper racing from start to finish, which takes a higher level of concentration that any other form of racing. Second...it takes a great car...great pit-stops and LOTS of luck to finish well...if at all. ...

At tracks like MIS and Kansas I can't find the proper gearing ratios I need. I am always getting blown away on the straightaways unless I am running the gear I like which tachs out before the corner but I can't run that because I over heat with minimum tape. So do I want a low gear and a lot of tape or vice vesa?

Either that or they have "tweeked" the setup into a direction they think is necessary to have the winning car for that race. Far too often I have seen the sets go the absolute wrong way.

Before you "tweek" on any setup recieved or default ask yourself one question. Have I drivin around this track to know what my driving style requires for this track and its characteristics? ...

"There is a huge difference between being able to drive a car and becoming a great racing driver."

One of the most important steps in becoming a great racecar driver is learning and understanding the philosophy behind achieving the best results...all season long...every race, for yourself and your race team.

There are numerous things to consider as you approach the Season and each race. Listed below are several.
